Money, money, money

How could he travel so long? Where does he get the money? Is he thief? Is he sponsored by parent’s? None of this. I don’t have parents money. And definitely I’m not thief.

And if you think about travelling as about an expensive affair you are not right. In the next lines I describe you my budget and expanses.

3470 Euros (93 800 CZK). This amount of money I had in my banks in the beginning of the November last year.
The most expansive part of the journey was preparation (flight ticket, vaccination, new backpack, new shoes and sun glasses). I bought return flight ticket for 463 Euros (12 500 CZK) from Warsaw to Kuala Lumpur (back I let the plane flight without me :D). Backpack cost me 130 Euros (3 500 CZK). I trusted that vaccination is useful and important I took vaccine for the most serious illnesses as: Rabies, Jaundice, Typhoid, Tetanus, Whooping cough, Meningococcus and Diphtheria. Plus I bought these neccesities to the aid-kit: the tablets against dehydratation, the pills against allergic reactions, the pills against diarrhea, the antibiotics, the tea tree oil, the plasters and the repellent. This “healthy set” cost me 370 Euros (10 000 CZK).
Shoes and sunglasses I bought for 130 Euros (3 500 CZK). And as a gift shop assistants gave me two pairs of quality socks.
Costs before departure were for me 1 100 Euros (30 000 CZK).

Today I know that next time I’m not going to take all of these vaccines. It can save some money. On the other side I won’t save money on the equipment like backpack and shoes.

2 360 Euro (63 800 CZK). Budget for whole journey.
90 days in Malaysia cost me 473 Euros (12 784 CZK). 5 Euros per day.
46 days in Bali cost me 500 Euros (13 450 CZK). 11 Euros per day.
14 days in Sri Lanka cost me 33 Euros (900 CZK). 2,3 Euros per day.
Together I spent 1 004 Euros (27 134 CZK) in 150 days.

Well it’s not bad. If I mention that this amount covers all costs of my living, transportation (by the air and also on the ground), costs of the visas, fees for the rentlal of the scooters and the travelling insurance. I’m not pretty sure, that I can live cheaper in Czech Republic.

Now you can have another question on your mind. And how is it possible, that costs are so low? Answer you can find in another post.
